Itinerary
Day 01 – Arrival / Negombo
Land in the coastal town of Negombo. Check into your hotel and relax as the soft ocean breeze and golden skies ease you into island time.
Day 02 – Negombo / Pinnawala / Sigiriya
Begin with a charming Negombo city tour, then visit the beloved Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, where your little ones can watch elephants bathe in the river. Journey onwards to Sigiriya, arriving by sunset.
Day 03 – Sigiriya / Polonnaruwa / Sigiriya
Climb the iconic Sigiriya Rock Fortress at dawn — a family feat that feels like conquering a mythical kingdom. In the afternoon, explore the UNESCO heritage city of Polonnaruwa, rich with ancient ruins and royal stories.
Day 04 – Anuradhapura / Habarana / Minneriya Safari
Wander the sacred city of Anuradhapura, with its massive stupas and sacred Bodhi trees. Later, return to Habarana and head off on a thrilling Jeep Safari in Minneriya National Park — home to one of Asia’s largest wild elephant gatherings.
Day 05 – Dambulla / Spice Garden / Kandy
En route to Kandy, explore the mystical Dambulla Cave Temples, followed by a visit to a lush spice garden where the kids can smell and taste the wonders of Ceylon spices.
Day 06 – Kandy
Enjoy a full city tour of Kandy, including the revered Temple of the Tooth, the Royal Botanical Gardens, and time for souvenir shopping — from dazzling gems to traditional batiks and carved woodwork. The evening ends with a mesmerizing cultural dance show.
Day 07 – Nuwara Eliya
Venture into the tea hills of Nuwara Eliya. Tour a working tea plantation and factory, then enjoy a relaxed city tour through this quaint British colonial-style town, fondly called “Little England.”
Day 08 – Horton Plains / Nuwara Eliya
Visit Horton Plains National Park and hike to the edge of the world at World’s End. Spend your afternoon freely exploring Nuwara Eliya or playing by the lake.
Day 09 – Train to Ella / Ella Exploration
Take the scenic train ride to Ella — considered one of the most beautiful in the world. Once there, explore waterfalls, markets, and viewpoints. It’s a breath of fresh air in every direction.
Day 10 – Ella to Yala / Safari
Head to Yala, stopping for snacks and photos along the way. That afternoon, experience a jeep safari through Yala National Park, where leopards, sloth bears, and elephants roam free.
Day 11, 12 & 13 – Galle & Beach Days
- Arrive in Galle, your beach base for three blissful days of sun, sea, and bonding.
- Excursion 01: Drift along the peaceful Madhu River on a boat ride through mangroves and monasteries.
- Excursion 02: Visit a turtle conservation farm and release baby turtles into the ocean.
- Excursion 03: Try fun water sports on the Bentota River — banana boating, jet skiing, or just splashing around.
Day 14 – Galle / Colombo / Departure
Galle/Departure (en route visit Colombo and enjoy a city tour IF time permits)
